Vaporesso Armour S 100W Starter Kit Review
The Vaporesso Armour S 100W Starter Kit pairs a TPU-armored box mod for one 21700 or 18650 battery with the 5ml iTank 2 or the 6ml iTank T, depending on the option. It is built for direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping on GTi mesh coils. See more from Vaporesso or compare other box mod kits.
Armour S Highlights
One 21700 or 18650
The Vaporesso Armour S runs on one 21700 battery, or an 18650 in the sleeve that comes inside the mod. The battery is sold separately, and the mod goes from 5W to 100W.
Two Ways to Lock
Slide the fire button to lock it. To lock every button, hold the up and down buttons together.
TPU Armor
Vaporesso covers the mod in TPU to guard against drops and scratches. The tank comes with a protector fitted.
iTank 2 or iTank T
Options marked (iTank T) come with the 6ml iTank T, which has top airflow and a top that slides open. The others come with the 5ml iTank 2, whose top cap opens at the press of a button. Both take GTi coils.

On the Armour S, start at the low end of a coil’s range. We carry Vaporesso GTi coils in packs of 5. Our coil compatibility guide shows which Vaporesso coils fit each kit.
Batteries
The Armour S takes one high-drain 21700, or an 18650 in the sleeve that comes inside the mod. The battery isn’t included, so use one from a known brand. We carry IMREN 21700 batteries in packs of 2. Don’t charge batteries overnight, and carry spares in a case. The FDA has more battery safety tips.
How to Set Up the Armour S
- Add a battery: press the button to open the battery door and put in a charged 21700, or an 18650 in the sleeve.
- Fill and prime: open the tank (press the button on the iTank 2, or slide the iTank T’s top open), fill it and let the coil soak for a few minutes.
- Turn it on: press the fire button five times.
- Set the power: start low in your coil’s range, such as 60W for the 0.2Ω coil. Then go up slowly.
- Lock it: slide the fire button to lock it before the Armour S goes in a pocket or bag.
Who the Armour S Is For
The Vaporesso Armour S suits DTL vapers who want a tough kit on a single battery, smaller than the dual-battery Armour MAX. It isn’t made for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping, so try our pod kits for a tighter draw. Want up to 220W? See the Armour MAX. Don’t want to buy batteries? The ARMOUR ULTRA has a built-in 5500mAh battery.
Good to know: the battery isn’t included, and the options marked (iTank T) come with a different tank from the others.
