Aegis Legend 5 Highlights
Up to 200W on Two 18650s
The Geekvape Aegis Legend 5 runs on two 18650 batteries, sold separately, and goes from 5W to 200W. Geekvape’s AS Chip 4.0 fires in 0.01 seconds.
IP68 Tri-Proof
Geekvape rates the mod IP68 for water and IP6X for dust. It says the Legend 5 lasted 30 minutes under 1.5m of water and 25 drops from 1.4m in testing.
A-Lock Switch
Slide the A-Lock switch to lock the mod, so it won’t fire by accident in a pocket or bag.
Two Tank Versions
The kit comes with the Z Subohm Tank 5, whose cap slides open to fill, or the Z Sub-ohm 2021 tank. Both hold 5.5ml, have top airflow and take Geekvape Z coils.

Batteries
Use a matched pair of high-drain 18650s with flat tops, so the battery door can close. Geekvape suggests cells such as the Molicel P26A, Sony VTC5A or Samsung 25R. Charge, use and replace the pair together, don’t charge batteries overnight, and carry spares in a case. The FDA has more battery safety tips.
How to Set Up the Aegis Legend 5
- Add batteries: open the battery door and put in two charged 18650s.
- Fill and prime: fill the tank and let the coil soak for a few minutes before your first puff.
- Set the power: start at the low end of your coil’s range, shown in the table above, and work up.
- Lock it: slide the A-Lock switch before the Legend 5 goes in a pocket or bag.
Who the Aegis Legend 5 Is For
The Geekvape Aegis Legend 5 suits DTL vapers who want a dual 18650 box mod kit built to handle water, dust and drops. It isn’t made for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping. The L200 (Aegis Legend 2) is the earlier 200W Legend, and the Aegis Solo 3 is a smaller 100W kit.
Good to know: the batteries aren’t included, and the tank depends on the kit: the Z Subohm Tank 5 or the Z Sub-ohm 2021. Both take the same Z coils.
