The Vaporesso ARMOUR OCTA 220W Starter Kit pairs a tough dual 18650 box mod with the 6ml iTank T. It is built for direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping. The two 18650 batteries are sold separately. See more from Vaporesso or compare other box mod kits.

ARMOUR OCTA Highlights

Built for Water, Dust and Drops

The mod is rated IP68 and IP69K. It can sit under 1 meter of water for 30 minutes and take 100-bar jets of hot water. It also passed a MIL-STD-810H drop test from 1.2 meters. These ratings cover the mod only, not the tank.

Dual 18650 Power with Battery Guard

Two 18650 batteries give you up to 220W. Battery Guard cuts the power if the two cells drift more than 0.9V apart. That can happen when you mix old and new batteries.

Power Modes and a Lock Switch

The AXON 3.0 chip has Eco, Pulse and Boost modes, plus temperature control. Its SMART mode sets a wattage for the coil you fit. A side switch locks the fire button.

iTank T with GTi Coils

The 6ml iTank T fills from the top with a sliding cap, and its airflow is on top. It fits every GTi coil, and a TPU cover helps guard the tank.

Batteries

The ARMOUR OCTA needs a matched pair of high-drain 18650s from a known brand. Charge, use and replace them together. Don’t charge them overnight, and carry spares in a case. The FDA has more battery safety tips.

How to Set Up the ARMOUR OCTA

Add the batteries: fit two charged, matched 18650s the way the manual shows.
Fill and prime: slide the top cap open, fill the tank with high-VG juice, and let the coil soak for a few minutes.
Set the power: start low in your coil’s range, such as 60W for the 0.2Ω coil. Then go up slowly.
Lock it: flip the side switch before the mod goes in a pocket or bag.

Who the ARMOUR OCTA Is For

The Vaporesso ARMOUR OCTA suits DTL vapers who want a high-power kit that can take knocks. It isn’t made for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping, so try our pod kits for a tighter draw. Want 21700 batteries? See the Armour MAX. Want a built-in battery? The ARMOUR ULTRA has one.

Good to know: the screen text is small, and SMART mode can misread a coil. Check the wattage it sets before you vape.

Vaporesso ARMOUR OCTA FAQ

Does the ARMOUR OCTA come with batteries?

No. It needs two 18650 batteries, sold separately. Use a matched pair, and don't mix old and new cells. Battery Guard stops the mod if they drift more than 0.9V apart.

Which coils fit the iTank T?

Every Vaporesso GTi coil fits, from 0.15Ω to 0.5Ω. GTX coils do not fit. The kit comes with the 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω GTi Dual Mesh coils, and we sell GTi coils in packs of 5.

Is the ARMOUR OCTA waterproof?

The mod is rated IP68 and IP69K, and it passed a 1.2-meter drop test. The tank is not rated, so don't put a filled kit under water.

Can I use other tanks on it?

Yes. The mod has a standard 510 connection. It takes tanks up to 24mm wide.

Can I charge the batteries in the mod?

Yes. Plug the USB-C cable into the mod to charge both batteries. You can also charge them together in an external charger.

Is it good for mouth-to-lung vaping?

No. The OCTA and its GTi coils are made for direct-to-lung vaping at higher power. For a tighter draw, a pod kit fits better.

How is it different from the Armour MAX?

The OCTA is the newer model. It takes two 18650s only, it is a little smaller, and it comes with the 6ml iTank T. The Armour MAX takes 21700 or 18650 batteries and comes with the 8ml iTank 2. Both tanks use GTi coils.
