Vaporesso ARMOUR ULTRA Kit Review
The Vaporesso ARMOUR ULTRA Kit pairs a tough box mod with a built-in 5500mAh battery and the 6ml iTank T. It is built for direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping at up to 100W, and you don’t need to buy batteries. See more from Vaporesso or compare other box mod kits.
ARMOUR ULTRA Highlights
Built for Water, Dust and Drops
The mod is rated IP68 and IP69K. It can sit under 1 meter of water for 30 minutes and take high-pressure jets of water up to 80°C. It also passed a MIL-STD-810H drop test from 1.2 meters. These ratings cover the mod only, not the tank.
5500mAh Built-in Battery
The Vaporesso ARMOUR ULTRA runs on a built-in 5500mAh battery, so there are no cells to buy. It charges over USB-C at 9V/2A or 5V/3A.
Power Modes and a Lock Switch
The AXON chip has Boost, Pulse and Eco modes, plus temperature control. A slide switch on the side locks the buttons.
iTank T with GTi Coils
The 6ml iTank T fills from the top with a sliding cap, and its airflow is on top. It takes every GTi coil and comes with 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω Dual Mesh coils.

On the ARMOUR ULTRA, start at the low end of a coil’s range. We carry Vaporesso GTi coils in packs of 5. Our coil compatibility guide shows which Vaporesso coils fit each kit.
How to Set Up the ARMOUR ULTRA
- Charge it: plug the USB-C cable from the box into the ARMOUR ULTRA before you vape the first time.
- Fill and prime: slide the top cap open, fill the tank and let the coil soak for a few minutes.
- Set the power: start low in your coil’s range, such as 60W for the 0.2Ω coil. Then go up slowly.
- Lock it: flip the side switch before the ARMOUR ULTRA goes in a pocket or bag.
Who the ARMOUR ULTRA Is For
The Vaporesso ARMOUR ULTRA suits DTL vapers who want a tough, high-power kit without buying batteries. It isn’t made for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping, so try our pod kits for a tighter draw. Want up to 220W? See the ARMOUR OCTA, which runs on two 18650s. For a smaller pod mod, try the LUXE XR MAX 2.
Good to know: the battery is built in, so you can’t swap in spare cells, and the water and drop ratings cover the mod only.
