dotmod’s dotBox 220W V2 Kit’s chassis is a sturdy blend of premium zinc-alloy and aluminum that still measures and weighs in quite comfortably. It has two magnetic door panels that stay firmly in place; the back panel with the iconic “dotmod” is the battery door, while the front panel protects the screen and controls. Once you lift that front panel, discover a beautifully engraved design framing the display. The top has a wonderful looking gold-plated 510 connection that easily handles tanks up to 26mm in diameter, making it a versatile choice. High-Gear Power

dotmod’s dotBox is built to handle the heavy lifting with dual 18650 batteries (not included). Batteries are simple to place in, and more importantly, you’ve access to a massive 220 watts of maximum output. Charging is handled via a fast USB-C port cleverly tucked away inside the battery door. This placement helps keep the device’s exterior lines clean while providing the rapid power delivery needed to quickly get back to your session.

The Command Center and Modes

Powered by a proprietary dotChip chipset, operation is straightforward with a large, intuitive circular firing button that turns the unit on with 5 quick clicks. To fine-tune your experience, use the two adjustment buttons located on the outside of the front panel, right below the screen. For users who have a preferred setting they don’t want to lose, dotmod included two memory preset buttons hidden inside the front panel. Clicking the firing button 3x lets you move through a deep vaping suite, including standard Power Mode (PM), Bypass (BP), and dedicated Temperature Control modes for Nickel (NI), Titanium (TI), and Stainless Steel (SS) wire. You can even dial in a specific power curve (CURVE) or utilize the preheat BOOST Mode to ensure every hit is exactly how it should be.

Navigation and Total Protection

All data is presented on a crisp 1.08” full-color display that tracks Mode, Battery, Resistance, and Puff Count. For a touch of on-screen personalization, there are 8 customizable luxury UI themes to match your style. Safety is a front-running functionality, as the internal logic protects against numerous issues. There’s even a dedicated physical lock switch which’s activated by 4x clicks of the firing button to prevent any accidental firing.

dotTank Max V2 boasts a 4mL volume, a 35% increase in airflow for notably smoother hits, and is 50% lighter than the previous generation. The leak-free top-fill design utilizes dual fill ports, while top adjustable airflow supports RDL to full DTL pulls. Now, even though dotTank Max V2 is primarily a sub-ohm restricted direct lung tank, it also supports MTL coils for those who prefer a tighter draw. Constructed with transparent Pyrex glass and a standard 810 drip tip, it uses a 510 push-fit system that’s fully compatible with the dotCoil series.
