What is Sub Ohm Vaping?

Sub-Ohm vaping is vaping with a resistance level less than 1.0 ohms. Sub-ohm vaping has become a popular option in the vaping community because it’s simple form. Keep in mind, any resistance level over 1.0 is regular vaping.

Why choose sub-ohm vaping?

1. Bigger Cloud Production

Sub-ohming uses more power to spread the amount of heat over a larger area. As this happens, E-juice can be vaporized quicker than using a dripper. Sub-ohming can produce more flavorful clouds due to the larger atomization area.

2. Better Flavor

Do you tend to get better flavorful vapes while sub-ohming? We sure do. The vape is more flavorful because of the dense vapor production due to the larger size of the coils. We recommend using 50PG/50VG, 60VG/40PG, 70VG/30VG or other higher PG liquids when sub-ohming.

3. Warmer Vapor

Sub-ohming produces extra heat while vaping, hence a warmer vapor. If you are the type of vaper who desires warm vapes, sub-ohming is the way to go.

4.Pure Enjoyment

Many vapers, especially those who are starting out may not want to spend time rebuilding coils and changing out the cotton. There are many options available for non-rebuildable sub-ohm tanks. The market has changed quite a bit when it comes to sub-ohming. The latest sub-ohm tanks hit at a higher wattage, have adjustable airflow features, temperature control and have higher liquid capacities.

What are some of the negatives to sub-ohming?

  • Cost – You will need to buy a sub-ohm tanks, replacement coils and a mechanical or box mod.
  • E-juice – Sub-ohming drinks the juice. This is expected due to the heat production and resistance levels.
  • Battery Drainage – The batteries will drain quicker because of the resistance levels and also, it’s easy to chain vape. We recommend you fully charge your batteries and carry extra batteries with you, when sub-ohming.

Is sub-ohming dangerous?

Without the proper knowledge and care, anything can be dangerous. Typically, sub-ohming is for advanced vapers because of the resistance levels. More and more beginners are getting into the sub-ohming trend because it’s easier to maintain. We recommend you do some research on the different resistance level, depending on the tank and performance you want from your sub-ohming device.
