Ratings by Coil
SMOK rates each TFV16 Lite coil this way:
| TFV16 Lite coil | SMOK says | SMOK rating |
|---|---|---|
| Conical Mesh 0.2Ω (installed in the TFV16 Lite) | Kanthal; warm throat hit, fast heating, massive vapor | best at 60–85W |
| Dual Mesh 0.15Ω | dual coil structure, better wicking, big clouds and rich flavor | best at 60–90W |
SMOK says the conical shape makes the most of the airflow inlet at the bottom and condenses the vapor on its way to the drip tip.
How to Change a TFV16 Lite Coil
- Empty it: empty the tank, or let it run low.
- Take the base off: unscrew the base from the TFV16 Lite.
- Swap the coil: take out the old coil and fit a new TFV16 Lite coil.
- Refill and wait: put the base back, fill the tank and let it stand for several minutes before you vape.
- Set the power: start near 60W and stay within SMOK’s best range for your coil.
- Replace it: when the flavor fades or tastes burnt, fit a new coil.
Good to know: TFV16 Lite coils are for the TFV16 Lite. The full-size TFV16 and the TFV18 take TFV16 coils. Our SMOK coil compatibility guide shows which tanks and pods each coil fits.
