How to Change a TFV9 Coil
- Empty it: empty the tank, or let it run low.
- Take the base off: unscrew the base from the TFV9.
- Swap the coil: remove the old coil and screw the new V9 coil tightly onto the base.
- Refill and wait: put the base back, fill the tank and let it stand for several minutes so the cotton soaks through.
- Set the power: stay within 40W to 90W.
- Replace it: when the flavor fades or tastes burnt, fit a new coil.
Good to know: SMOK prints the rating on each coil: 0.15Ω, 40-90W. The TFV9 coil box also says the coil is compatible with TFV8 Big Baby tanks. Our SMOK coil compatibility guide shows which tanks and pods each coil fits.
