6.5ml Bulb Glass
The SMOK TFV9 Tank holds 6.5ml in SMOK’s Bulb Pyrex Glass Tube #1, which is 28mm across. A spare glass comes in the box.
Childproof Top Cap
Lift the top cap to open the fill slot. SMOK says the lift-and-open lock keeps children out and stops the cap opening by accident and leaking.
V9 Meshed 0.15Ω Coils
Two Kanthal V9 Meshed 0.15Ω coils come in the box, rated 40W to 90W. SMOK says the mesh has a large heating surface for big clouds and flavor with less heat-up time.
Adjustable Airflow
Turn the ring at the base to set the airflow. The 510 pin is gold-plated, which SMOK says resists wear and conducts better.

How to Set Up the TFV9 Tank
- Open the top: hold the tank with one hand and lift the top cap to open the fill slot.
- Fill it: add e-liquid through the slot, keeping it out of the center airflow tube.
- Close it: close the cap carefully and firmly.
- Wait: let it stand for several minutes so the cotton soaks through.
- Mount it: screw the tank onto a 510 mod.
- Set it: set 40W to 90W for the V9 Meshed 0.15Ω coil and turn the ring at the base to adjust the airflow.
Who the TFV9 Tank Is For
The SMOK TFV9 Tank suits cloud chasers with a 510 mod that reaches at least 40W, the low end of the V9 coil’s rating. SMOK made the V9 coil for sub-ohm vaping. For the coils on their own, see our TFV9 coils.
Good to know: SMOK lists its V8 Baby coil series for the TFV9 too, so TFV8 Baby coils you already have can go in it. The TFV9 box also says its coil fits TFV8 Big Baby tanks.
