The Nitecore Digicharger D2 Professional Charger Series is a two-bay smart charger with an LCD readout of each battery’s voltage, charging current and charging time. Digicharger D2 Highlights
LCD Readout
Five bars show each battery’s charge level. MODE switches the readout between voltage, charging current and elapsed time, and SLOT picks the bay.
Automatic Charging
Each bay checks its battery, picks the voltage and charge mode (CC, CV or dV/dt) and stops when it’s full. LiFePO4 is the exception: you select it by hand.
LOW Mode
For batteries under 750mAh, such as 16340s and AAAs, LOW mode charges at a lower current. Select a bay with SLOT, then hold MODE until LOW shows.
Built-In Protection
The D2 checks each battery at low current for 6 seconds before charging. Nitecore lists over-charge prevention, temperature monitoring, reverse polarity protection and a 20-hour cutoff for each bay.

Batteries
Charge only rechargeable Li-ion, IMR, LiFePO4, Ni-MH or Ni-Cd batteries, and don’t leave batteries charging unattended.
How to Use the Digicharger D2
- Plug it in: connect the AC cord from the box, or a 12V DC car adapter (sold separately).
- Load the batteries: match each battery’s ends to the + and − marks. The D2 checks it for 6 seconds, then starts charging.
- Set LiFePO4 if needed: for a LiFePO4 battery, hold MODE for more than 2 seconds right after the check, until LiFePO4 shows.
- Read the screen: press SLOT to pick a bay and MODE to switch between voltage, current and time. Chg.Finish shows when the battery is full.
Who the Digicharger D2 Is For
The Nitecore D2 suits vapers who want to see each battery’s voltage and charging time in a two-bay charger. It charges at 500mA per bay and doesn’t take 21700s, while the New i2 charges one big 18650 battery at 1A and takes flat-top 21700s.
Good to know: It isn’t listed for 20700 or 21700 batteries, and Nitecore doesn’t recommend the D2 for over-discharged (zero volt) unprotected Li-ion batteries.

Nitecore D2 FAQ
Does it charge 21700 batteries?
No. Nitecore doesn’t list 20700 or 21700 batteries for the D2. It takes 18650s, 26650s and eight other Li-ion sizes. For flat-top 21700s, see the New i2.
How fast does it charge?
Each bay charges at up to 500mA, with one or two batteries in. LOW mode lowers the current for batteries under 750mAh.
What does the screen show?
Five bars show each battery’s charge level. Press MODE to switch the readout between voltage, charging current and elapsed time, and SLOT to pick the bay.
Can it charge LiFePO4 batteries?
Yes, but you select it by hand: hold MODE for more than 2 seconds right after the battery check. It has no 4.35V setting.
Can I use it in the car?
Yes, with a 12V DC car adapter, which isn’t included. The box has an AC cord for wall outlets.
How is it different from the New i2?
The New i2 charges one battery at up to 1A and takes flat-top 21700s, with charge level lights instead of an LCD. The D2 charges at 500mA per bay and shows voltage, current and time.
