Nitecore Q6 Six Slot Quick Charger Review
The Nitecore Q6 Six Slot Quick Charger is a six-bay charger for Li-ion and IMR batteries, including 18650s, 26650s and flat-top 20700 and 21700 vape batteries. It charges one or two batteries at up to 2A, shares the current across all six bays and comes with a 12V power adapter. See more from Nitecore or browse all battery chargers.
Q6 Highlights
Six Bays
The Q6 detects each battery on its own as you put it in, and Nitecore’s Active Current Distribution shares the current across the six bays.
Up to 2A
One or two batteries in separate slot pairs charge at up to 2A each. With four in, each gets 1A, and with six, 0.65A.
One Light per Bay
Red means charging and green means done. A quick-flashing red light warns of a battery in backward, a short or a battery too flat to wake; a slower flash means the battery isn’t compatible.
Built-In Protection
Each bay has its own 15-hour cutoff, and Nitecore lists reverse polarity, short circuit and overcharge protection, with an automatic stop when a battery is full.

Q6 Charge Current
Nitecore’s manual gives these currents:
| Batteries charging | Current per battery |
|---|---|
| 1 or 2, in separate slot pairs | up to 2A |
| 4 | 1A |
| 6 | 0.65A |
The bays work in pairs (1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5 and 6), so two batteries charge fastest in different pairs.
Batteries
Charge only Li-ion and IMR batteries, never Ni-MH, alkaline or CR123A cells, and don’t leave batteries charging unattended.
How to Use the Q6
- Plug it in: connect the 12V adapter from the box. A car adapter is optional and sold separately.
- Load the batteries: put one battery in each bay you need, with its ends matching the + and − marks. The Q6 detects it and starts charging.
- Use separate pairs: for two batteries, use bays from different pairs, such as 1 and 3, for the full 2A.
- Watch the lights: each light stays red while its battery charges and turns green when it’s full.
Who the Q6 Is For
The Nitecore Q6 suits vapers who keep a lot of 18650, 20700 or 21700 batteries and want to charge up to six at once with no settings to learn. For an LCD readout and Ni-MH support in four bays, see the UMS4.
Good to know: It charges Li-ion and IMR batteries only, at 4.2V, and Nitecore doesn’t recommend it for over-discharged (zero volt) unprotected batteries.
