SMOK says the V8-X4 has a double-barreled pistol design and a cloud and flavor balance core. The TFV8 kit came with the V8-T8 and V8-Q4.
How to Change a TFV8 Coil
- Empty it: empty the tank, or let it run low.
- Take the base off: unscrew the base from the TFV8.
- Swap the coil: unscrew the old coil from the base and screw in a new V8 coil.
- Refill and wait: put the base back, fill the tank and let it stand for several minutes so the cotton soaks through.
- Set the power: stay within the coil’s rating, starting near SMOK’s best setting.
- Replace it: when the flavor fades or tastes burnt, fit a new coil.

Which version should I pick?
The V8-X4 runs lowest, at 60W to 150W. The V8-Q4 runs 50W to 180W, the V8-T6 50W to 240W and the V8-T8 50W to 260W.
What wattage should I use?
Start near SMOK’s best setting: 80W to 120W for the X4, 90W to 150W for the Q4, 110W to 150W for the T6 and 120W to 180W for the T8.
What wattage for the V8-T10?
SMOK doesn’t give one. Hands-on reviews rate the V8-T10 0.12Ω at 50W to 300W, best at 130W to 190W.
Do they fit the TFV8 Baby or Big Baby?
SMOK lists V8 Baby coils for those tanks, not V8 coils.
