Batteries

Use a high-drain 18650 from a known brand, and replace it if the wrap is torn. Don’t charge batteries overnight or unattended, and carry spares in a case. The FDA has more battery safety tips.

How to Set Up the dotLeaf

Fit a battery: open the magnetic battery door and put in one charged 18650 rated 20A or more.
Load the chamber: fill the ceramic chamber with dry herb, close the mesh top cap and slide the tank back in.
Turn it on: press the fire button 5 times.
Pick a preset: press the small button behind the magnetic panel, below the fire button.
Heat it: press the fire button 3 times. It vibrates when it’s ready.
